Dembele stars as Barcelona power past Athletic Club

On Sunday night at Camp Nou, Barcelona defeated Athletic Club 4-0 behind a commanding home performance from an energized Ousmane Dembele.

The Catalans scored three goals in the first half, matching their midweek performance against Villarreal, and Ferran Torres' fourth goal completed a strong performance.

Early on, Ousmane Dembele appeared to be in a good mood, and it was because to his magic that the opening goal was scored.

Unai Simon made an incredible save to stop the Frenchman's fantastic shot, but the rebound fell to Robert Lewandowski, who found Dembele. On the 12th minute, the winger climbed above everyone and shot low into the bottom corner.

Moments later, the advantage was doubled. This time, Dembele was the creator as he skillfully passed a through ball to an oncoming Sergi Roberto. The right back took just one touch before unleashing a thunderous shot that went past Unai Simon for a score of 2-0.

Lewandowski, not to be outdone, scored the finest goal of the evening to add his name on the scoresheet. The Pole turned on the ball to create a yard of space with Dembele once more serving as the assister before driving the ball with his left foot into the roof of the net.

The only setback for Barcelona was the injury of Gavi, who was involved in a strong collision and was eventually replaced by Franck Kessie after trying to shake off an apparent groin problem.

With a string of lightning-quick dashes and dribbles down the left, Alejandro Balde established his case for inclusion in the starting XI. After a low shot on goal, the young player came close to scoring himself, but Simon stopped him.

Early in the second half, Barcelona came close to scoring a fourth. After being set up, Sergi Roberto selflessly crossed the ball toward goal. The Athletic defender arrived first, but his attempted clearance was intercepted by Pedri and bounced off the post.

At the hour mark, Xavi was able to make two changes because to the three-goal advantage. In their place, Marcos Alonso, Ferran Torres, and Ansu Fati took the place of Jules Kounde, Lewandowski, and Pedri.

Ansu cut inside from the left and arrowed a shot towards the far corner moments later, but he simply got too much in front of it and missed.

After a superb ball by Dembele, another substitute, Ferran, had a chance to score from close range.

Dembele completes hat-trick of assists

However, the Spaniard would make no mistakes when given another chance. When Dembele left Ferran with just the goalkeeper to beat on the 72nd minute, the Spanish forward calmly slipped the ball between Simon's legs to complete his hat-trick of assists.

In the last moments, Marc-Andre ter Stegen owes everything to his defenders for twice swiftly clearing the ball off the line after his error nearly tainted his clean sheet.

After last week's losses against Inter and Real Madrid, Barcelona is starting to look more and more like their former selves with two significant victories against Villarreal and Athletic.

5 footballers who are perceived to be arrogant

Footballers have several ways to express their fury. While others want to project confidence on the field, some prefer to keep their heads down and concentrate only on the game. Arrogance and self-assurance go hand in hand. Football fans frequently mistake confidence for arrogance and vice versa. Football was a fiercely competitive sport back then, and players had to present an arrogant persona to avoid being easily overpowered or pushed around. The rules of the game have recently undergone significant alteration, and players are now expected to conduct themselves in a respectable manner while on the field. James Corden Was Temporarily Banned From a Popular NYC Restaurant—Here's What I Think About It as a Server

Jokester James Corden got briefly 86'd from New York City's famous Balthazar eatery, and which is all well and good. Keith McNally, who claims Balthazar in New York City, didn't keep down in a web-based entertainment post about the late-night show host's unsuitable direct at the eatery on not one yet two events. "James Corden is a Massively gifted jokester, yet a little Moron of a man," he composed close by a photograph of Corden. "What's more, the most oppressive client to my Balthazar waiters since the eatery opened a long time back." McNally added, "I don't frequently 86 a client … today I 86'd Corden. It didn't make me snicker." McNally said the main offense occurred in June when Corden tracked down a hair in his food. "Albeit this is malevolent, it happens sporadically in all cafés." He affirmed that once Corden wrapped up eating his primary course, he showed the hair to Balthazar chief G., who was remorseful...
